Who We Are

St. Croix Composite Squadron, based in Lake Elmo, Minnesota, is one of 1,700 Civil Air Patrol units in the United States of America. CAP operates under a congressional charter as the United States Air Force Auxiliary.

CAP is tasked with performing the following missions:

  • Aerospace Education
  • Cadet Programs
  • Emergency Services
  • Counterdrug Operations
  • Homeland Security

CAP is an all-volunteer organization with nearly 60,000 members in all 50 states and Puerto Rico. CAP operates a fleet of 550 aircraft and 1,000 vehicles.
