St. Croix Squadron Hosts a Parent Night & Open House

Cadets Take Time Out to Pose for a Group Picture

On Thursday night, 28 May 2009, the senior members from the St. Croix Composite Squadron hosted a parent appreciation night & open house BBQ to say thank you to all of the parents and spouses of all our members.

About 125 to 150 members, spouses, parents, siblings & friends all showed up to share in a great Minnesota style BBQ dinner. We all had a chance to have a relaxed atmosphere to get to know one another a little better and to just have some fun.

The BBQ meal was typical of hamburgers, hot dogs, potato salad, chips, cookies, brownies and lots of beverages to consume. Music was selected by 1Lt. Brad Heck and our grille masters were Captains David Yost & Dalen Kruse.

The Cadets had a great deal of fun by playing various games for all and a large game of flag football. The parents had a chance to meet and talk to the senior members and to learn a lot more of where thier young adults have been spending their time.

I would like to Thank all of the members of the St. Croix Composite Squadron for their time and efforts which all contributed to our successes this year and to our Squadron of Merrit Award.

On behalf of the Squadron Commander, Capt. David Yost
Thank you.
