On Saturday, 13 March 2010, 5 Cadet members of the St. Croix Squadrons Color Guard Squad participated in a Color Guard Seminar put on by the Minnesota Wing and sponsored by North Hennepin Squadron. This was a great opportunity for our cadets to hone and learn new tips and suggestions to make their Color Guard presentations better. The North Hennepin Squadron is the reigning champions for the Minnesota Wing and watching them demonstrate their skills and precision during this event was evident. The St. Croix's Color Guard in the past have been very competitive. With a new wave of cadets entering the squadron over the past year we have to pass on these skills and training. Even though we still have a few experienced cadets who can teach what they know, the Color Guard competitions are geared towards the more junior cadet members. I would like to thank the following cadets who attened this very informative training session; C/TSgt. Zachary Langer, C/TSgt. Ethan Pike, C/A1C. Ryan Malcolm, C/A1C. Grant Starr & C/Amn. Mohammad Battah. I know these cadets will pass along to the other members what they have learned. Congratulations to all and heres to a busy and great summer season of Color Guard events.
